Real Science vs. Pseudoscience in HR and Education

In an era where information is plentiful but can also be misleading, it is essential to separate the wheat from the chaff, especially in professions that work with people. This workshop takes us through the challenges and pitfalls of applying psychological and behavioural science knowledge in professional practice. How popular methods and theories, often assumed to be true, can be strident with reliable scientific insights. The replication crisis in psychology has exposed many misconceptions. This forces us to critically reassess what we call 'true'. In this session, you will learn how, without diving deep into the scientific literature, you can still effectively identify and apply evidence-based practices. In this way, we can take a step towards a more evidence-based approach in professions that work with people. Because employees and learners deserve better than pseudoscientific claptrap.

This workshop will be offered in Dutch.
